1. Accumulation of Sirius Points
1.1 Sirius Points are the reward currency of the Sirius Programme.
1.2 Sirius Points can be earned on rooms at hotels, and at properties managed by Jumeirah Living LLC (“Jumeirah Living”), food and beverage and other valid transactions as specified by Jumeirah. Sirius Points may not be earned when using Awards or on food and beverage transactions at Wild Wadi Water Park or on food and beverage transactions at a property managed by Jumeirah Living.
1.3 Sirius Points will be awarded on all eligible room rates. Eligible room rates are those defined as “publicly available” via Jumeirah’s website or booked through Jumeirah hotels directly or booked through properties managed by Jumeirah Living directly. When a booking is made via a Travel Agent or individual wholesale/ tour operator these packages are not considered eligible. Other non–eligible rates are defined as airline crew rates, travel industry employee rates, group bookings, Conference and Incentives events, Government, Discounted Long stays, Banquets, Club Membership fees, Gift Vouchers, and Jumeirah employee rates. Barter, complimentary and reward stays do not qualify for Sirius Points. Please be aware that certain elements of room charges and package rates may not be eligible for Points.
1.4 For room stays at a hotel, the number of Sirius Points awarded will be based upon the room type booked and paid for, even if a different room type is provided. A Member staying at a property managed by Jumeirah Living will be awarded 500 Sirius Points and 500 Tier Points for stays between 15 and 29 nights, and 1000 Sirius Points and 1000 Tier Points for stays of 30 nights or more, regardless of the value of the transaction. For each consecutive 30 nights after the original 30 nights, members will receive 1000 Sirius Points and 1000 Tier Points.
1.5 A member must be staying in the hotel or Jumeirah Living managed property to earn Sirius Points on room charges.
1.6 Sirius Points are only earned by the member on additional rooms if (i) the Member is staying at the relevant hotel or Jumeirah Living managed property at the same time; and (ii) all rooms are reserved and registered in the Member’s name; and (iii) the Member pays for all rooms.
1.7 Sirius Points will not be earned on membership fees, conference and banqueting functions, service charges, municipality fees paid, telephone calls, miscellaneous items, visit visas and paid out charges. Sirius Points will not be earned on food and beverage transactions at a property managed by Jumeirah Living.
1.8 Sirius Points are earned on the net amount excluding government taxes and fees and applicable service charges and after any discount has been applied to the bill.
1.9 Members must present a valid Sirius Card to the cashier at the time of check-in or check-out before payment is made, to allow for the accumulation of Sirius Points for Room Stays. For food and beverage transactions, a valid Sirius Card must be presented before payment at point-of-sale. When dining at a hotel, Members staying at a Jumeirah Living managed property must settle all food and beverage bills at the time of consumption to earn Sirius Points. Failure to do the above will result in no Sirius Points being awarded. Allow 28 days for Sirius Points to reach the Members’ Account.
1.10 Sirius Points will be credited to the Member’s Account only after payment in full is made for the transaction earning Sirius Points.
1.11 Bills should be retained as proof of spend until Sirius Points appear on the Member’s statement. Bills must be presented prior to a retroactive claim being actioned.
1.12 Members will not earn both Sirius Points and frequent flyer airline miles for the same stay. Guests must select either the Sirius Card Programme or a Jumeirah Airline Partner before check-out. Sirius Points may not be combined with, or transferred to, any other loyalty scheme operated by Jumeirah or any other airline, unless a points-to-miles exchange agreement is in place.
1.13 Sirius Points can be earned when spending at participating Sirius Retail Partners. Tier Points will not be earned on these transactions. The Sirius Programme reserves the right to discontinue partnerships and cease offering Sirius Points on partner transactions at any time. Sirius and Sirius Retail Partners reserve the right to decline any transaction/redemption request at any given time.
1.14 To receive Sirius Points on Sirius Retail Partner transactions, a Sirius membership card must be presented before payment is concluded at the time of purchase, failure to do so will result in no crediting of Sirius Points.
1.15 Sirius Points will be processed successfully only after notification is received from the Sirius Retail Partner of the relevant transaction. Sirius will not be held liable for any failure on the part of the Retailer to notify us.
1.16 If refunds are made to the Member in respect of goods or services for which the Member has received Sirius Points, Jumeirah will adjust the number of Sirius Points awarded.
1.17 Jumeirah reserves the right to correct any Sirius Point values or statements at anytime or when the error is realized.
1.18 If the Member wishes to claim any adjustment to the number of Sirius Points credited or for retrospective Sirius Points, the Member must do so within six months from date of transaction, by sending written details to the Sirius Representatives, with the copy of the bill for which the Member did not receive the correct number of Sirius Points. The Member’s card number must be printed on the bill. Failure to supply the adequate documentation may result in the denial of such Points’ credit. For new Members, retrospective credit will be accepted for eligible spend with 45 days prior to Member’s actual enrolment date into the Programme. Jumeirah reserves the right to decline any retrospective Points requests.
1.19 Subject to point 3.4, Sirius Points are awarded at a rate of 1 point per $3US (or the currency equivalent) on all Jumeirah Eligible Spend, net of governmental taxes and fees. Sirius Points awarded based on a currency other than $ US, will be calculated from the quoted currency converted into $ US using a published rate of exchange in effect during the quarter in which the transaction is credited. Exchange rates will be reviewed on a quarterly basis. The published rate will be determined at the sole discretion of Jumeirah. Should actual exchange rates vary by more than 10% from published rates within any quarter Jumeirah will, at its sole discretion, review applicable rates and make exceptional changes if deemed necessary.
1.20 Sirius Points earned through participating partners may vary from the standard earning proposition. Any variances will be outlined on www.mysiriuscard.com
1.21 Sirius Points will be valid for 24 months from the date Points are credited to the Account. Expired Sirius Points will then be cancelled automatically.
1.22 Sirius Points cannot be transferred to any other Member account.
2a. Redemption of Sirius Points
Awards are subject to capacity controls which limit the availability of all products and services offered by Sirius or any of the Programme Partners. Redemption of Awards may also be limited during certain times of the year.
2.1 Sirius Points may only be redeemed by authorised Members for Awards as specified by Jumeirah.
2.2 In order to qualify for an Award, the Member must have sufficient Points in their Account to redeem the Award as specified by Jumeirah.
2.3 All Awards are subject to availability throughout the year and must be used within six months from the date the voucher has been issued. We reserve the right to decline a redemption at anytime.
2.4 The Member must make a reservation before they can use their Awards, stating that the reservation is for a Redemption.
2.5 To claim an Award, Members must contact the Sirius Representatives by email, telephone, fax, letter or via the website. During busy times, Jumeirah recommends all Redemptions be made at least 14 days in advance, in order to avoid disappointment. All Partner vouchers and retail items will be delivered to the Member within 28 days. Once Sirius Points are redeemed for Partner Vouchers and retail items, they cannot be cancelled, re-credited, changed or reissued.
2.6 Jumeirah reserves the right to decline any Redemption if the Redemption procedure is not adhered to.
2.7 Awards will not be replaced, reissued or credited if lost, stolen, expired or otherwise destroyed.
2.8 Sirius Points and Awards are not exchangeable for cash and no change for outstanding amounts will be given. Sirius Points can only be used in exchange for Awards.
2.9 Awards cannot be issued on Sirius Points earned for a Member’s current stay. These Sirius Points can only be redeemed when the Member next visits any Jumeirah hotel.
2.10 Award Vouchers expire after six months once issued. Once expired, Vouchers will not be reissued nor will Sirius Points be re-credited to Member’s Account
