Sirius Programme Rules

1. Accumulation of Sirius Points

1.1 Sirius Points are the reward currency of the Sirius Programme.

1.2 Sirius Points can be earned on rooms at hotels, and at properties managed by Jumeirah Living LLC (“Jumeirah Living”), food and beverage and other valid transactions as specified by Jumeirah. Sirius Points may not be earned when using Awards or on food and beverage transactions at Wild Wadi Water Park or on food and beverage transactions at a property managed by Jumeirah Living.

1.3 Sirius Points will be awarded on all eligible room rates. Eligible room rates are those defined as “publicly available” via Jumeirah’s website or booked through Jumeirah hotels directly or booked through properties managed by Jumeirah Living directly. When a booking is made via a Travel Agent or individual wholesale/ tour operator these packages are not considered eligible. Other non–eligible rates are defined as airline crew rates, travel industry employee rates, group bookings, Conference and Incentives events, Government, Discounted Long stays, Banquets, Club Membership fees, Gift Vouchers, and Jumeirah employee rates. Barter, complimentary and reward stays do not qualify for Sirius Points. Please be aware that certain elements of room charges and package rates may not be eligible for Points.

1.4 For room stays at a hotel, the number of Sirius Points awarded will be based upon the room type booked and paid for, even if a different room type is provided. A Member staying at a property managed by Jumeirah Living will be awarded 500 Sirius Points and 500 Tier Points for stays between 15 and 29 nights, and 1000 Sirius Points and 1000 Tier Points for stays of 30 nights or more, regardless of the value of the transaction. For each consecutive 30 nights after the original 30 nights, members will receive 1000 Sirius Points and 1000 Tier Points.

1.5 A member must be staying in the hotel or Jumeirah Living managed property to earn Sirius Points on room charges.

1.6 Sirius Points are only earned by the member on additional rooms if (i) the Member is staying at the relevant hotel or Jumeirah Living managed property at the same time; and (ii) all rooms are reserved and registered in the Member’s name; and (iii) the Member pays for all rooms.

1.7 Sirius Points will not be earned on membership fees, conference and banqueting functions, service charges, municipality fees paid, telephone calls, miscellaneous items, visit visas and paid out charges. Sirius Points will not be earned on food and beverage transactions at a property managed by Jumeirah Living.

1.8 Sirius Points are earned on the net amount excluding government taxes and fees and applicable service charges and after any discount has been applied to the bill.

1.9 Members must present a valid Sirius Card to the cashier at the time of check-in or check-out before payment is made, to allow for the accumulation of Sirius Points for Room Stays. For food and beverage transactions, a valid Sirius Card must be presented before payment at point-of-sale. When dining at a hotel, Members staying at a Jumeirah Living managed property must settle all food and beverage bills at the time of consumption to earn Sirius Points. Failure to do the above will result in no Sirius Points being awarded. Allow 28 days for Sirius Points to reach the Members’ Account.

1.10 Sirius Points will be credited to the Member’s Account only after payment in full is made for the transaction earning Sirius Points.

1.11 Bills should be retained as proof of spend until Sirius Points appear on the Member’s statement. Bills must be presented prior to a retroactive claim being actioned.

1.12 Members will not earn both Sirius Points and frequent flyer airline miles for the same stay. Guests must select either the Sirius Card Programme or a Jumeirah Airline Partner before check-out. Sirius Points may not be combined with, or transferred to, any other loyalty scheme operated by Jumeirah or any other airline, unless a points-to-miles exchange agreement is in place.

1.13 Sirius Points can be earned when spending at participating Sirius Retail Partners. Tier Points will not be earned on these transactions. For a full and current listing of partners, visit www.mysiriuscard.com. The Sirius Programme reserves the right to discontinue partnerships and cease offering Sirius Points on partner transactions at any time. Sirius and Sirius Retail Partners reserve the right to decline any transaction/redemption request at any given time.

1.14 To receive Sirius Points on Sirius Retail Partner transactions, a Sirius membership card must be presented before payment is concluded at the time of purchase, failure to do so will result in no crediting of Sirius Points.

1.15 Sirius Points will be processed successfully only after notification is received from the Sirius Retail Partner of the relevant transaction. Sirius will not be held liable for any failure on the part of the Retailer to notify us.

1.16 If refunds are made to the Member in respect of goods or services for which the Member has received Sirius Points, Jumeirah will adjust the number of Sirius Points awarded.

1.17 Jumeirah reserves the right to correct any Sirius Point values or statements at anytime or when the error is realized.

1.18 If the Member wishes to claim any adjustment to the number of Sirius Points credited or for retrospective Sirius Points, the Member must do so within six months from date of transaction, by sending written details to the Sirius Representatives, with the copy of the bill for which the Member did not receive the correct number of Sirius Points. The Member’s card number must be printed on the bill. Failure to supply the adequate documentation may result in the denial of such Points’ credit. For new Members, retrospective credit will be accepted for eligible spend with 45 days prior to Member’s actual enrolment date into the Programme. Jumeirah reserves the right to decline any retrospective Points requests.

1.19 Subject to point 3.4, Sirius Points are awarded at a rate of 1 point per $3US (or the currency equivalent) on all Jumeirah Eligible Spend, net of governmental taxes and fees. Sirius Points awarded based on a currency other than $ US, will be calculated from the quoted currency converted into $ US using a published rate of exchange in effect during the quarter in which the transaction is credited. Exchange rates will be reviewed on a quarterly basis. The published rate will be determined at the sole discretion of Jumeirah. Should actual exchange rates vary by more than 10% from published rates within any quarter Jumeirah will, at its sole discretion, review applicable rates and make exceptional changes if deemed necessary.

1.20 Sirius Points earned through participating partners may vary from the standard earning proposition. Any variances will be outlined on www.mysiriuscard.com

1.21 Sirius Points will be valid for 24 months from the date Points are credited to the Account. Expired Sirius Points will then be cancelled automatically.

1.22 Sirius Points cannot be transferred to any other Member account.  

 

2a. Redemption of Sirius Points


Awards are subject to capacity controls which limit the availability of all products and services offered by Sirius or any of the Programme Partners. Redemption of Awards may also be limited during certain times of the year.

2.1 Sirius Points may only be redeemed by authorised Members for Awards as specified by Jumeirah.

2.2 In order to qualify for an Award, the Member must have sufficient Points in their Account to redeem the Award as specified by Jumeirah.

2.3 All Awards are subject to availability throughout the year and must be used within six months from the date the voucher has been issued. We reserve the right to decline a redemption at anytime.

2.4 The Member must make a reservation before they can use their Awards, stating that the reservation is for a Redemption.

2.5 To claim an Award, Members must contact the Sirius Representatives by email, telephone, fax, letter or via the website. During busy times, Jumeirah recommends all Redemptions be made at least 14 days in advance, in order to avoid disappointment. All Partner vouchers and retail items will be delivered to the Member within 28 days. Once Sirius Points are redeemed for Partner Vouchers and retail items, they cannot be cancelled, re-credited, changed or reissued.

2.6 Jumeirah reserves the right to decline any Redemption if the Redemption procedure is not adhered to.

2.7 Awards will not be replaced, reissued or credited if lost, stolen, expired or otherwise destroyed.

2.8 Sirius Points and Awards are not exchangeable for cash and no change for outstanding amounts will be given. Sirius Points can only be used in exchange for Awards.

2.9 Awards cannot be issued on Sirius Points earned for a Member’s current stay. These Sirius Points can only be redeemed when the Member next visits any Jumeirah hotel.

2.10 Award Vouchers expire after six months once issued. Once expired, Vouchers will not be reissued nor will Sirius Points be re-credited to Member’s Account

2.11 Award Vouchers may be cancelled up to 72 hours in advance of your stay. A Sirius Representative must be informed of any cancellations. Sirius Points will then be re-credited to the Member’s Account. If Voucher is not cancelled, Sirius Points will not be re-credited.

2.12 The number of Sirius Points required for room redemptions will vary depending on time of the year. There are three redemption categories - off-peak, peak and super peak. The dates for each category may be obtained by contacting the Sirius Representatives.

2.13 There are no room redemption black-out dates. Redemptions will be possible every day of the year where the Sirius Room Redemption Allocation has not been exceeded at the requested hotel.

2.14 Sirius Room Redemption Awards are limited to double occupancy.

2.15 Sirius Restaurant Redemption Awards are limited to a maximum of three courses and menu choice is at the discretion of the restaurant (either a la carte or fixed menu).

2.16 Awards cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other offers or promotions.

 

2b. Airline Partner Redemptions


2.17 Members can redeem Sirius Points in exchange for frequent flyer miles only with selected participating Airline Partners.

2.18 Members can only transfer their Sirius Points during their active Membership term.

2.19 Sirius Points can only be transferred to airline Miles by contacting the Sirius Representatives via email, telephone, fax, letter or via the Sirius website.

2.20 Only Sirius Points with a minimum of six months before expiry can be transferred.

2.21 Sirius Points can only be transferred in increments of 100 Sirius Points.

2.22 A minimum of 400 Sirius Points must remain in the members account after the transfer.

2.23 Redemption or usage of airline Miles are controlled by the Terms and Conditions of the participating Airline Partners.

2.24 Sirius Airline Partners participating in Points to Miles exchanges are subject to change without prior notice.

2.25 Members requesting a Points to Miles exchange must be a member of the participating Airline’s frequent flyer programme.

2.26 Only primary Members can transfer Sirius Points.

2.27 Converted Miles are bonus miles under the airline programme and will not count towards upgraded tier status in the participating airline programme.

2.28 Once a Sirius Points to Miles exchange is requested, this will be an automated process and will take a maximum of 28 days.

2.29 Sirius Points will be transferred successfully only after all the details provided by the member are validated and confirmed by the participating Airline Partner.

2.30 If validations are unsuccessful the member will be notified by a Sirius Representative.

2.31 Once Sirius Points are transferred to Miles they cannot be cancelled, re-credited, changed or reissued.

2.32 Jumeirah and the participating Airline Partner have the right to decline a transfer request of Sirius Points to Miles at any given time.

2.33 Jumeirah has the right to change and/or terminate this programme at any time with or without prior written notice to members.  

 

2c. Third Party Partner Redemptions


2.34 All Third Party Partner Redemption Awards are subject to the individual Partner company’s Terms and Conditions.

2.35 Third Party Partner Redemption Vouchers will only be couriered out to the member’s preferred address, they may not be collected from a hotel.

2.36 Members requesting a Sirius Points transfer to Points.com must be a member of Points.com

2.37 Transfers to Points.com are governed by the Terms and Conditions of Points.com  

 

3. Sirius Family and Friends Programme


3.1 Primary cardholder ("the member") can enroll up to three additional friends or family into the Sirius Family and Friends Programme.

3.2 Upon enrollment, the three additional members will be issued a Blue Sirius Membership Card irrespective of the tier of the primary card holder. 

3.3 A new membership number will be issued to each supplementary Sirius Member enrolled in the Sirius Family and Friends Programme. The new membership number will be connected to the account of the primary account holder.

3.4 Only Sirius Points, not Tier Points, can be earned by the supplementary Sirius Members.

3.5 The enrolled Supplementary Sirius Members are not entitled to any Tier Benefits.

3.6 All Sirius Points earned by the enrolled Supplementary Sirius Members will automatically be credited to the primary card holder’s account.

3.7 All account statements of the enrolled Supplementary Sirius Members will be sent to the primary card holder. No separate statements will be issued.

3.8 All enrolled Supplementary Sirius Members can redeem Sirius Points for Awards.

3.9 The primary cardholder can cancel the membership of the enrolled Supplementary Sirius Members at any time in writing to Sirius.

3.10 The enrolled Supplementary Sirius Members may also update the Account details unless otherwise mentioned by the primary cardholder.

3.11 All other relevant Sirius Terms and Conditions apply to the enrolled Supplementary Sirius Member.
   


4. Membership Term and Card Renewal

4.1 A Membership term is 12 months for Silver and Gold Members.

4.2 Silver and Gold Membership will be reviewed (considered ‘Renewal’) one year after the date of qualifying for that tier.

4.3. At Renewal, a Member’s account will be assessed and depending on the number of Tier Points earned, the relevant membership Card of the tier qualified for will be issued. The renewed Membership Card will be dispatched to Members and may take up to 28 working days for delivery.

4.4 Sirius Silver and Gold Cards are valid for 13 months, which allows for 12 months of membership plus one additional month for card delivery. Sirius Blue Cards remain valid as long as the member remains active in the Sirius Programme, and will only be reissued upon request.

4.5 If no spend is registered on the Sirius Card throughout a 24 month period the Member’s Account will lapse and only be reactivated upon a new spend being registered on the Membership Account.

4.6 Lapsed Members will be deemed inactive and will be unable to access any of their account details via the website.  

 

5. Accumulation of Tier Points


5.1 Tier Points are the status currency of the Sirius Programme and are used to calculate eligibility for the Blue, Silver and Gold Tier Membership.

5.2 Tier Points are only awarded to Members for eligible non-promotional spend, tracked within Jumeirah. Subject to point 3.4, one Tier Point will be earned for every $3US of eligible net spend.

5.3 Tier Points are not earned on spend with Sirius Partners.

5.4 Tier Points are non-transferable and do not expire. However, Tier Points will be set to zero in cases of Membership upgrade and downgrade.

5.5 If the required number of Tier Points has not been earned during the relevant membership term, the Member will be downgraded by one Tier.

6.Tier Upgrades, Renewals and Downgrades

6.1 Membership for each Card type is based upon the required number of Tier Points being achieved within a 12-month Membership term for Sirius Silver and Sirius Gold.

6.2 If the required number of Tier Points is not achieved within a Membership term, Members will be downgraded.

6.3 Members may be upgraded by two Tier categories, but downgraded by only one Tier category in a Membership term.

6.4 At the end of each Membership term, Members are allocated a Tier for the following Membership period. A new Membership Card will be dispatched to Members and may take up to 28 days for delivery.

6.5 At the time of renewal, the relevant number of Tier Points will be deducted from the Member’s account i.e. Blue - 9 Points, Silver - 1499 Points and Gold - 3999 Points.

 

7. Tier Benefits

The provisions of this section do not apply to Members when staying at a property managed by Jumeirah Living.

Permanent Members are eligible to receive Jumeirah Benefits based upon Tier Level of Membership. All Terms and Conditions apply. All Benefits are subject to availability at the hotel’s discretion and are delivered regardless of payment type. A valid Sirius Card must be presented in order to avail of any Benefit. The Tier Benefits are only applicable to the Cardholder unless otherwise specified. Jumeirah reserves the right to add, modify, or delete Tier Level Benefits and/or eligibility at its sole discretion at anytime and without notice.

When staying at a Jumeirah hotel, Gold Members will receive complimentary transport between Dubai International, London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London City and John F Kennedy airports and any Jumeirah hotel in that city. Reservations must be made via the Central Reservations Office and Members must state that they are a Sirius Gold Member at time of booking. The vehicle used is at the discretion of the Jumeirah hotel. Gold Members staying at Burj Al Arab, Dubai must stay a minimum of five nights to avail of this benefit, while Gold members staying at Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel, London must stay a minimum of four nights. Gold members staying at the Jumeirah Essex House, New York must stay a minimum of four nights.

A complimentary breakfast for two is made available for each day of the Silver and Gold Member’s stay. At time of check-in, the hotel will inform the Member where breakfast will be served. Breakfast can be taken on the executive floor or in one of the restaurants but not as room service. The value of any unredeemed breakfast cannot be credited to the Member’s bill. The hotel will not charge service or gratuities to the Member’s bill for the complimentary breakfast. Silver Members staying at Jumeirah Emirates Towers will receive a ‘full breakfast’. For room categories or packages where complimentary breakfast is a benefit to the Member, the value of the unredeemed breakfast cannot be credited to the Member’s bill. If a Member chooses a different type of breakfast other than that described in the benefits, he/she will be credited the amount of complimentary breakfast and pay the difference. Any additional guests will be charged the full rate for breakfast. 
 
Complimentary Access to Burj Al Arab

This provision is free for Gold Members and up to three guests per day. Members may be required to show identification upon request. Access is to the hotel only, pool and beach access is not included. All guests must accompany the Member in order to avail of complimentary access and access is strictly non-transferable. Members and guests are not required to stay or dine at the hotel to use this facility. Jumeirah reserves the right to refuse entry if proper attire is in question.

Club Executive Lounge Access

This amenity is valid for Gold Members plus one guest. Members may be required to show identification upon request. Access is to the Club Executive Lounge only, pool and beach access is not included. Lounge access is exclusive of all alcoholic beverages, which may be purchased at standard hotel prices. Members and guests are not required to stay at the hotel to use this amenity. Jumeirah reserves the right to refuse entry if proper attire is in question. This benefit is not valid at Burj Al Arab or Jumeirah Essex House.

Food Discount at Jumeirah Restaurants

For Gold and Silver Members, a 10% discount will apply to food only and will be deducted before final payment is made at the restaurant. Members must state upon entering the restaurant and/or making a reservation that they are a Gold or Silver Sirius Member. Discounts on dining will be given only at the relevant restaurant and not upon check–out at the hotel’s reception.

This amenity is valid for a maximum of 12 people when the Member is present. Any gratuities will be at the discretion of the Member. This discount may not be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion. One 10% discount will apply per party and may only be availed of when the bill is settled with one check. Where multiple checks are requested, the 10% food discount will only be applied to the member’s meal.

This benefit is valid for all meal periods, and applicable on the total bill paid by the member (irrespective of whether the member has personally availed of a complimentary meal, such as breakfast) except in instances of special occasion dining, in which cases regular Sirius benefits are not recognized (such as New Years Eve menus).

When staying at a Jumeirah hotel, Gold Members will receive complimentary Internet access. Access to the Internet will be determined by the services available at each hotel and time of stay. Such access may be made available within rooms, hotel business centres or on–site Internet cafés.

Gold Members will receive a complimentary room upgrade at time of check–in, subject to availability and rate. The room upgrade is applicable only when the room is charged at the hotel’s published rates. All upgrades will be to the next room category only. This benefit excludes Burj Al Arab and Beit Al Bahar. The upgrade applies to the Member’s room only. The room upgrade cannot be transferred to a third party.

Preferential Entry Fees for Wild Wadi Water Park

The discount can only be availed of if the tickets are purchased at the Wild Wadi entrance. Gold Members must present their Sirius Card upon entry. Guests must accompany the Member to qualify for the discount. This benefit cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
