Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts celebrated our 2nd Annual Awards for travel trade partners at an illustrious gala event at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London on 27th October 2009. This year’s Jumeirah Awards coincided with the 10th anniversary of our flagship hotel, the world famous Burj Al Arab in Dubai. Subsequently, we flew over Executive Chef Luigi Gerosa from the Burj Al Arab who tantalized the taste buds of those present with a lavish menu prepared especially for the evening.
Opened just days before the dawn of the new Millennium, the Burj Al Arab remains the ultimate symbol of Dubai’s determination to be a world-beater. The stunning hotel continues to break new ground with its superlative standards of accommodation and service in its suites, leisure facilities and restaurants.
And true to Jumeirah’s promise of STAY DIFFERENT™, guests at the Gala were entertained into the night with the help of a star-studded cast, including the effervescent Bruce Forsyth and international pop superstar Ronan Keating, who reminisced what it was like filming a music video on top of the Burj Al Arab and riding horseback across the dunes at Jumeirah Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa.
David Sparrow, Director of International Sales for Jumeirah, said: “This is our way of saying thank you to the travel trade after a challenging year when we have needed their support more than ever and in advance of an exciting year of development for the Jumeirah brand which will see us launch our first luxury hotel in mainland European, in Frankfurt midway through 2010!”
